Reviews

Three of the sweetest gals on our very own stage, warming our hearts and singing the songs of our mothers' lives ... well, maybe some from our own lives!

Sunday afternoon at the Ashington Centre was taken over by the Spinettes and their host Matthew Goodgame. They have performed in the West End, at the Shard and the Goodwood Revival and now they have made it to Ashington. The audience settled into their seats not really knowing what was coming ... but hoping. And we weren't disappointed. Almost two hours of entertainment and refreshments during which the Spinettes gave us classics from the Andrews Sisters era like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and many more.

The Spinettes were booked by the residents at Harleston House for a musical event that they had planned for Dementia Awareness Week. The girls were very warm and friendly with their performance but remained professional performers throughout. The music and the selection of songs for our client group was spot on, its not easy to keep people with Dementia engaged but they managed very well. It was lovely that when they finished their show the girls took the time in going round chatting to the residents and their relatives this was a lovely thing to do. The residents are still talking about it and they all said what a lovely time they had together. I have been requested to book them again and I have no problem with recommending this group and their manager for any event that requires this style of entertainment.

Dementia Awareness, Harleston House

The Spinettes had such amazing stage presence, you could tell that from the way everyone stopped when they came into the room. They sounded superb, their 1940s outfits were just right for the music and it was like having a time machine to go back 70 years! Everyone was soon dancing away for all they were worth, thanks to The Spinettes. There's no band I'd recommend more!
